Bravely Truest

Revivalist. I looked it up recently when I saw it used to describe Harry Connick, Jr. It means “one who revives practices or ideas of an earlier time.” I guess that describes me, too. There’s just something about the old jazz songs that lights me up from the inside out. I’ve been carrying around a list of songs that I wanted to record for a while, because I believe these songs have the kind of positive message and emotion that our world could use right now. When the opportunity came to me, nearly a year ago now, to do audio and visual recordings of a few of my favorites, I took it. And now, I may have the opportunity to share them with you, in person. If you’re looking for a smile that starts way down deep on the inside, makes you want to dance, and sends you home humming, then let’s get together. We’ll put on our “glad rags” and “ac-cen-tuate the positive”.
